Is it possible to have an A.B.S. problem without an A.B.S. light?

My rear brakes on my 04 C1500 are almost non existent, until I remove the fuse for the A.B.S.. Anyone heard of/had this problem? If so, is it the computer or valve body at fault?

There may be a reprogram available for the ABS to correct that. The dealership should be able to identify if your's is among those affected.

I know there a pending recall on the abs sensors. I have a 99 1500 that the abs wasn't working properly. I took it to the nearest dealer and they told me about them and they turned out to be corroded. I would call your dealer asap about this.
