5.2 GC, timing cover hole

Anyone ever have a hole develop in the top of the timing cover on their GC 5.2L? Noticed coolant on the garage floor a couple times over the past couple months, couldn't find a leak. Of course, I was looking in the normal areas you would expect to find such a leak. Then I changed the oil today and was running it afterwards and noticed a nice stream of coolant pouring out on the floor, I was able to see the source this time, the top left of the timing cover appears to have a hole in it. My second question would be, where can one aquire a replacement (used is fine) at a reasonable cost? :2cents:

coolant shouldn't be coming out of the timing cover

Are you sure it isn't the water pump? Chrysler's 5.2 water pumps were made to start leaking out of the "weep hole" when the water pump was going bad.

I guess I should have said the timing housing.

Could you take a picture and post it?

It won't be until next week that I can take it apart but I will get a pic at that time, hopefully there is a better explanation to this problem when I get it apart. From what I can see, it is coming from the top of the housing on the left side right above the water passage.
