Hello again,

I have a mysterious Oil leak and I am not sure where is comming from. I check the Oil pan and the oils is on the side of the pulleys. I recently replaced the Oil pan gasket and Transmission Gasket and Oil. I now see a drop of oil once in a while comming from straight from the end of the Oil pan. I am not sure if its comming from a PUlley or what. At first I thought it was my Power Steering pump since the liquid is the same color. I am not sure any suggestion? I also looked at the Oil level and its fine. I will assume since its small tear drop rather that dripping constantly.

Please help.

Thanks,

John

What year and engine?

Are you referring to the harmonic balancer pulley, pulley that goes on the cranshaft? If so probable front seal leaking.

Yes the Harmonic pulley looks Like that is where the leak is comming from.

Not sure but you should be able to remove the harmonic balancer pully and replace the front seal on the timing chain cover. Look at the online service manual thread, follow instructions and it should have procedure for replacing front seal.
