help!! 02 Dodge intrpied wont start now that its coldRyanRusty29 12-22-2008, 02:43 PM Calling all experts!!! Okay let me give you the info you need and shoot me any ideas you have. The car is a 2002 Dodge intrepid ES 3.5L (not High Output ver) the car was left unstarted for 5 days in below zero temperature in Montana. There was 3 gallons of gas in tank. The car started for 2 mins then shut off and will not restart. I have done the following so far...Gave it 2 cans of ISO-Heet,gave it another 6 gallons of gas, put car in garage for hours with propane heater, fully charged battery, and finally last night i checked spark plug for gas on tip and found no wet gas on the tip of spark plug and we smelt a small scent of gas (possibly from previous starts not from us trying last night).. and also we could not get a spark to arch when i removed coil pack and held spark plug near metal. Sorry for long post please help. tempfixit 12-23-2008, 07:31 AM Calling all experts!!! Okay let me give you the info you need and shoot me any ideas you have. Check for codes by key dance-turn ignition switch on/off, on/off, on within 5 seconds without starting engine, you should see codes if any in the odometer. Post any codes. Check camshaft and crankshaft sensors, crankshaft sensor can fail without warning or codes. RyanRusty29 12-23-2008, 12:18 PM Ok i have done what you told me to do. First off thank you..ive been trying to master that for awhile now. Never knew the exact way to do it. Anyways here is what happened... twisted key on-off...it first said....done....then ---------, and then back to showing the miles on car, so to answer your question, No there are no codes whatsoever. RyanRusty29 12-23-2008, 12:22 PM I didnt see the rest of your post about camshaft sensor..i will check those next when i can and let ya know. Well actually while im typing i will tell you that within last 4 months i replaced all spark plugs and also had a brand new timing belt put in and all new radiator hose, water pump and obviously radiator fluid. Hope that helps a little. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
