I have a question on what kind of motor would I need to convert my gas burner to an electric vehicle. I know it has to be simple enough. What kind of motor and or transmission can I get and how much would this cost me. Need some advice, thanks. I know there are several kinds of batteries that could charge it as I go down the road. What I'm thinking of is like the cordless drill, it doesn't need to be charged as you go down the road it charges itself. That's what I'm looking for. Thanks.

The best is a brushless electric motor. At least 50kW of power.
With an electric motor, you don't need a transmission. But if you want to optimise the acceleration, a 3 speed trans do the job.
