2000 SUburban high beam issueCaptain Planet 12-22-2008, 11:56 AM The driver side high beam stopped working a few weeks back. Bought a new bulb but it wasn't the problem. There is no power at the fitting that plugs into the light. I traced the wire back as far as practical and can't see any nicks or exposed wire. FUses are fine. I am afraid that this problem is going to be caused by the wiring harness near the steering column that I have read about on other threads. Anyone have any ideas? I'll look this up on the wiring diagrams,,,,tomorrow...this should not be that difficultexpensive to repair.... RahX 03-26-2009, 11:47 PM You have to have a bad spot in the wire. The left hi/low are fed from the same fuse. The high beams are both grounded together. Captain Planet 04-01-2009, 12:46 PM You have to have a bad spot in the wire.
