73 corona mkII fantasy racer??rollin80s 12-19-2008, 12:37 PM well not sure if it's suppose to be here or motorsports. it's not 100% street but it's a fantasy nostalgic racer style. here it is. the kit is has not chassis detail at all. its a motorized style chassis. so i'll be using another chassis that i have stored in my spare parts box. as for the interior of the kit well, it sucks too. it has a shallow tub for clearance of what ever goes under there. sooo i'll be using the stock dash, but i'll be scratch making the rest of it. since most of the older toyota's use similar chassis' ill be using different referances. from celica to the corolla. hope you enjoy. some flares to widen it up a bit. http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/TRD4AG/model%20cars/DSCF1027.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/TRD4AG/model%20cars/DSCF1026.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/TRD4AG/model%20cars/DSCF1033.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/TRD4AG/model%20cars/DSCF1032.jpg some spoiler work. http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/TRD4AG/model%20cars/DSCF1001.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/TRD4AG/model%20cars/DSCF1002.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/TRD4AG/model%20cars/DSCF1003.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/TRD4AG/model%20cars/DSCF1005.jpg cut the hood open for some engine work. i wont be using the 2jz, too new. i'm a try to make a replica toyota 3M engine. found in the celica 2000GT. inline 6 dohc w/triple carbs. http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/TRD4AG/model%20cars/DSCF1008.jpg iv'e been working on the chassis as well, so ill have some pics of that soon. thanks for looking. c&c welcomed. Tervo 12-19-2008, 05:30 PM Which kit is this? You know, this MkII is kind of a legend here in Finland (an insider joke), the body proportions don't seem quite right, but I'm surely interested in this one. rollin80s 12-19-2008, 05:53 PM Which kit is this? Tervo 12-20-2008, 07:29 AM Well, it is not anything spectacular, a Finnish comedy team called "Kummeli" made a song and a video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ycArgbfmmM&feature=related Truth is, the car was quite a popular here as new, and in the end of 1980'ies it was found again by youngsters, because it was so cheap. Of course, by that time they were not anymore in good shape but rather rusty. That is about the "song" is telling about, how to "tune" your MkII El Krammito 12-22-2008, 12:02 PM Which kit is this?
