96 A4

I have a 96 A4 with the 2.8 V-6, front wheel drive. How hard would it be to convert it to an all-wheel drive and put a 1.8 turbo in it?? I already have all the parts except I'm not sure if the front wheel drive transmissions and the all-wheel drive transmissions are the same?

Mate it would be a nightmare because the B5 FWD is a different shell to the Quattro and you would have to do a load of cutting and welding to get this to work.

The front end on a FWD car is the same bar the drive shafts and gear box flanges but the flanges pop out of the gear box and can be poped in to the Quattro box.

Is it same for all the models? or it changes?
