Im having a little problem, hope you can help me out, I have searched all the threads and topics, And i cant seem to find a solution to my problem. My problem is.....
I cannot rotate the caliper piston, back into the caliper. I have the small tool and the piston rotates bit will "NOT" retreat back in it just spins. I am turning it clockwise. The parking tang is removed. Any help would be much appreciated. Im thinking it may be easier to install a reman unit???.

Thank you for your time

Inward pressure is required as you tunn the piston in, hence the special tools availble to do this, a large c clamp may work also.

Yea take the 6 inch C clamp and put one side on the housing of the caliper and the other "the one you screw in to get it shorter" on the outer lip of the piston. I would do this very slowly as to not screw it up. just take your time it worked for me.

Thanks for the prompt reply and suggestions. I just tried a big c clamp and the piston will not go back in. It appears to be at its maximum "out" position. The piston turns freely in either direction but will not go back in no matter how much pressure I put on it. I must be doing something wrong but I can't. figure out what. Frustrating to say the least. Help!!

Look at the info at autozone.com, repair guides.

Try gently pushing the piston back while ratcheting the park brake lever on the back of the caliper. If this is the style caliper I believe it is, the park brake lever must be moved back into the actuator screw. This can be done by either screwing the caliper back onto the actuator screw or by the above method.

If you don't already have it, you should get this tool:

http://www.jcwhitney.com/Brake-Tools/GP_2004105_N_111+200728461+600017944_10101.jcw

It makes your life a whole lot easier (I had your exact model car and struggled trying to change my rear brakes without this). It usually can be rented from your local auto shop.
