chevelle motor mount problem

I AM TRYING TO INSTALL A 502 IN A 70 CHEVELLE.IT HAD A 383 STROKER IN IT AND I DON'T KNOW IF THAT WAS THE ORIGIONAL BLOCK OR NOT BUT HERE IS MY PROBLEM.I BOUGHT BIG BLOCK MOTOR MOUNTS FROM YEAR ONE AND BEFORE I EVEN BOLTED THEM UP TO THE 502 BLOCK I CHECKED TO MAKE SURE THEY WOULD FIT THE FRAME MOUNTS AND THEY WONT.THEY DON'T SEEM TO BE WIDE ENOUGH TO SLIDE DOWN ON THE FRAME MOUNTS.HAS ANYONE RUN INTO THIS PROBLEM BEFORE.ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLEY APPRECIATED.

Certain shops will weld in the bracket for you they do this type of work and will do it right. Otherwise you will have to measure and do it yourself. You can check with a machine shop if they can get you an adapter that will work.
They can also point out who does this work.

You need to buy the frame mounts from Year One or GroundUp. They just bolt on. You may need to pop the top ball joint to get the lower control arm to swing out of the way. This is to reach the bolts insde the frame for the mounts.
