ok so in buying this 92 eagle talon tsi awd. i have had a problem. i have just noticed some black stuff coming out of the exgaust. The car sat for about 6 months. The kid i bought it from was having troubles getting it started till it warmed up. now im thinking its the cat conv. its been very chilly out here and i think its plugged up until its warmed up. when its cold it will idle at about a grand or less and register a 6 on my stock boost gauge and i will have no power until its completely free'd up. until it warms up enough it goes down to -7, but if i drive it and its not warmed up it might let me get to about 2500 and no power. now would that be the problem??? or am i deeper in it than just a cat and maybe an O2 sensor????

Bad gas, coked oil, etc.

Flush and fill all fluids.

cats and o2s usually throw a cel.... id go with fluids and have it scanned

No reason to have 2 threads about the same problem.
