2000 Dodge Ram idle issuespjtoves 12-13-2008, 04:30 AM When i first start my truck it doesnt stay running, i have to give it gas to stay running. sometimes it will start up ok and it dont matter if it is hot or cold. i notice it wrose in cold weather. after i run a two or more miles it will stay idling even at stop lights. then if i shut it down it may or may not start up and idle likeit is soppose to. I cleaned the throttle body but it did not help the problem. any ideas? angus10 12-13-2008, 06:45 AM Pobably the IAC on back of TB. Take it off and clean it and the bore it goes into on the TB. Some times works. I have seen this issue with the TPS also. pjtoves 12-14-2008, 05:12 AM I will try that. also i said that cleaning the TB didn't help. I noticed that it did help some.
