I have a 1996 sunfire with a 2.2 engine it will start for just a second and then shut off. I have replaced the fuel filter and regulator and am now leaning toward the fuel pump. anyone have any advice?? other than take to someone that nows what there doing I already had that suggestion from the wife.

Also, what is security/theft light doing? Is it on, flashing-

Thanks for the info. I am going to try and do the fuel pressure test this weekend. Also as far as I can tell there is no security system the factory radio had been removed before I purchased it a few years back and it has all manual controls such as door locks and windows but you may have hit on somthing and I'll will investigate just to make sure.
