Eclipse

Can any of you nice folks tell which Eclipse was used in The Fast and the Furious. And if you know can you tell what Modifications was used on the car. I would know 'cause I'm building a replica(i dunno if it would reseble it at all but i will try).

it has a blitz areo kit and some axis seven rims
it also has a alumin spoiler
it has been dropped
and it has a exaust
not 2 mention all da nasty graphix and dat nasty green color
yuck!
but thats the basic outside
as for the inside its gutted out
has a roll cage and has da "nos" set up
also all the gauges and the t.v montor
and a racing steering wheel

engine mods are up 2 u
u can ither get the gsx, gst turbo modle eclipse
or get the n\a eclipse
its up 2 u

I'm thinking about getting the bodykit and the rims, and maybe the roof scoop if I can get a hold of one. When it's about the colour I am going to get the carbon fiber hood and custom spray black flames from the hood and backwards towards the rear wheel dam. The main colour on the car is going to be Amulet Red, and ther is not going to be any stickers or graphics on it, mainly because that gives an impression of being all out of ideas and not being able to make a stunning vehicle without cheap commercial stickers and graphics. But anyways thanks for giving me the advice.

P.S I have done some double checking and found out that the body kit is not Blitz, but an Robocar kit.

In the movie, all the eclipse made were RS's, not the turbo models. Also, 95-99 is 2g not 3g. And furthurmore, the body kit is a blitz style body kit, not Robocar. Robocar was a wholesale/retail distribution company in California that donated blitz kits for the eclipse's used and they got their sticker (name) on the front of the eclipe's used...They are now only selling Velox now. I know this b/c I'm friends with one of the old owners of Robocar...

the eclipse used was a 2G, prolly about a '99. the only parts i know of are the full bliltz body kit and some gay aluminum spoiler. i would strongly recommend not replicating that car. be original, people respect you a whole lot more if your creative. do you realize how many times that car has been replicated.

im mad that the lead car in FATF2 is a 3G. now everyone that sees the movie and sees my car is gonna be like "thats just like the car on the movie":rolleyes:

I am not replicating the car after all. I wast just wondering what engine and suspension is on it. The colour I am going to go with is Amulet Red with the black carbon fibre hood.

Ummm it was after 97' if u look at the headlights..its 97-99 headlights..unless they did a headlight swap with a older eclipse..its a RS becuz when he pops his hood..it has a 420a motor..only come in GS and RS..plus when he is in the car u can see no power windows or locks so it must be an Rs....the movie was so full of shit..it was unbelievably..good movie but no real in most cases..

A little hard to believe becuz they used several eclipses in the movie..so ur telling me that they change every car which u say is a 95' with 97-99 headlights..why didn't they just buy or use 97-99 Eclipses? I am not calling u a liar, u maybe right, just wanting to know

maybe cuz of availability......they might have got a better deal on the 95's especially since Blitz pretty much used the movie to expand their business.

In the new F&F II the main car, that our old friend Brian drives, this time is an R34 Skyline! Not a new Eclipse, although there is one in the movie. The 4 main characters are: late model RX7, Pink S2000 (for the chick ya know), late model Skyline (not the new Z350 one, lame twist in the Skyline blood-line but thats another story...), and of course another Supra (this time GOLD!?!?). Oh yeah there's some people in the movie too... ;)

Actually not true...Blitz never made a kit for Eclipse's, other manufacturers fabricated an original kit (say for argument sake, Supra Blitz kit inwhich they did make a kit for) into other kits for various cars. Look on "Blitz's" web site, they dont make many of the kits you see for most of the cars out...

Also, think of this: 95 eclipse RS $3-4k, 97 eclipse RS $6-7k, 97-99 headlights can be had for roughly $100-$150 used, you can see there's a little difference in price there. Personally I would want to save around $3k minus the $100-$150 for the 97-99 headlights if I was just gonna destroy the car anyways

actually, in this one, paul walker is driving a lancer EVO. there is a guy on club3g that is in the movie so we have all the behind the scenes info and pics. the 3G isnt the lead car, ill reword myself. but it is one of the main cars used. it is gonna be driven by tyrese.

Those must be their "street car rides" (the G3 Eclipse and EVO) in the movie? These are the "night sceen race" ones I've seen @ the Winter CES, and read about in Autoweek & Sportcompact car... I guess?

If you go to the fast and the furious website, it's says it's a 95. i like hoe in the begining of that movie he tops out at what? 120? hmm. Paul Wlaker is gona be driving a lancer (ugly) in the new movie. Hopefully, they'll have a Ligenfelter Vette too stomp all over the honda's. Honda drivers give's imports a bad name.

Who gives a shit? That car was just a movie prop, when it comes down to it. Honestly. Its a 2G eclipse made to LOOK like something it wasn't. Haven't checked out any specs on it but i'll bet it was more show than go. I have my 2G because they are only about the hottest looking import the average joe can get his hands on. Had an '89 Mustang and i will admit my GS-T is WAY more fun to drive. DiamondStars forever!!
