2 issues with 96 avenger turbodbednarsky 12-08-2008, 06:52 PM OK, so here goes after about a year and a half of building I have a 1996 Avenger 420A Turbo w/ Nitrous. Puts 240.5 at the wheels on 4psi motor is built from the bottom up, and tranny has a Limited Slip Differential. Now I built the car myself and had it tuned by a local shop with a great reputation, but it came at a large cost, but you get what you pay for, and I got great service. So here are my remaining 2 issues. 1. While Running on the highway in boost 75+ it runs great, but when I let off the gas and come out of boost to sustain a more normal speed, after a few seconds the car stalls, and I pull over and need to wait a few minutes to start it again, I could smell fuel, so it seems to be getting flooded, so maybe it's still pushing to much fuel after it looses boost, and runs too rich?? remember it is a MAP sensor and I am using the AFC II NEO controller for the programming. Also got 390cc injectors, walbro 255lph fuel pump and aeromotive Fuel pressure regulator at 43.5 psi. any suggestions or differentials would be great, maybe we could argue to a resolution :-) 2. Tranny leak. I put new axel seals in, and nothing is wet, also the casing does not seem to a leak anywhere. The car ran great in boost and out of boost except for the issue in #1, which by the way does not happen all the time only about 75%. anyway back to this, never leaked. parked it in my garage looked at the car and checked for all fluid leaks for 4 straight days with nothing, come back to it about a week later (did not drive it during any of this time) and there is a huge puddle for gear oil on the gound, so I climbed right under and was unable to find the cause of the leak, and normal spots, or could it just be ironic. I am thinking of just filling it back up and seeing what happens but gear oil isn't cheap. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also if anyone lives in CT and has a stainless cat back exhaust for sale, or even a downpipe back let me know. Thanks in advance vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
