Ignition key chip disablela1 12-05-2008, 09:51 PM My sister has a 2007 Versa. We just learned the other day that it will cost $106 + programming for another key. I think the key has a chip, is there anyway to disable this so we can use a standard key w/o a chip nissandoc 12-06-2008, 03:36 PM Short answer = No la1 12-06-2008, 11:28 PM ..are there cheaper keys then the ones from the dealer. I thought it odd that the dealer did not have any blank keys...like people buy them else where. do the keys have to be programmed..how much does that cost nissandoc 12-09-2008, 02:36 PM You can try a local locksmith. Some have the keys and can program them. Good luck. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
