I am having a real hard time rebuilding my 1488 ED3 motor due to the lack of part sources..rods, pistons, etc. I would like to know if there is an easy swap into my '78 civic. I know this might be an old question, but I am not having any luck just googling it.

I am wondering if an EW1 from a carburated '85 crx will drop in?

any help will be appreciated, and utilized very quickly...I want to get back into that car!!!
