sway bar and strutsdirtdriver11 12-02-2008, 08:15 PM I've got a couple questions on my 98' cavalier. Is the sway bar mounted in front of the engine or behind it? When I replace the front and rear struts will I need to have it realigned? Thanks Classicrocjunkie 12-03-2008, 12:40 AM It is mounted to the engine sub-frame behind the steering rack. It will not interfere with removing or replacing a motor. Yes on the alignment. dirtdriver11 12-03-2008, 10:19 PM do i have to pull the motor to replace the sway bar? Classicrocjunkie 12-04-2008, 09:05 PM do i have to pull the motor to replace the sway bar? Not at all. Removing one with the engine out is a lot easier tho. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
