Run the car with water?ngsiufung 11-30-2008, 11:55 PM Hi guys, I recently browse a web site that a car can run with hydrogen which is generated by water in order to have more mpg. I have some questions hope you guys can help me. Can a combustion engine work with hydrogen gas and gasoline together? Will it damage the engine or other mechanical parts? Thanks RIP 12-01-2008, 01:35 AM Can't answer your questions but, I'll say if anyone ever invents a process or device that legitemately boosts MPGs, the major manufacturers would be all over it before you can say cha ching! Vanfan 12-01-2008, 01:38 AM Not sure, but it sounds like a bomb waiting to happen. Im not gonna be the guy to try it.... Brian R. 12-01-2008, 05:04 PM It is not efficient that way. There is no good way to increase mileage by gas injection. The best way to gas inject is with an oxidizer, such as Nitrous. Then, the excess oxygen injected is detected by the HO2 sensor as a lean condition and tells the ECM to inject more gas. Not good for mileage, but great for horsepower. lenjack 12-01-2008, 08:41 PM Absolute BS...it won't work. It's a scam that's been maling the rounds for a good many months. Brian R. 12-01-2008, 09:01 PM Injecting water into the intake is not a bad thing to do. Keeps your combustion chambers really clean and adds a little hp. This is just a steam cleaning effect with cooling of the intake air by the water evaporation. Has nothing to do with hydrogen. The hard part is keeping the water reservoir filled. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
