1993 Ranger shut off while driving

Hey guys, I'm having some problems with my truck, and I was wondering if anyone could help.

I had a new battery put in last week, and was able to drive about 200 miles with no problems, so I thought everything was fine. The other day, though, after driving on the highway for about 20-30 minutes, I was taking a slow turn, and the truck just shut off. When I tried to start it again, it would try to start, but not quite make it the whole way. After letting it sit for a few minutes, it started again just fine.

This is the first problem I've ever had with it, but I'm definitely worried about it. Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Thanks so much.

Check your battery cables for corrosion. Corrosion will decrease the voltage to the computer. The typical indication is that the engine will die during a fast accereration, but yet restart and run without problem...until you do another fast acceleration.
