Well out 2008 optima is about 15K miles. Time for a transmission service. Is it just fluid filter and gasket like the older vhicles or is there something more? Flush? The owners manual is very vague.
Thanks

15000 and it needs tranny service ? I have never heard of anything that needs that before 30-35K miles .

Appearantly you have been ignoring your owners manuals for quite a long time.

No don't own a Kia but have never seen a 15000 mile service interval on any other brand even under the severe schedule . Chryslers severe schedule for tranny service is now 60000 miles ...

And thats why Chrysler transmissions only last for 65K miles.
The kia is a dran plug. Draing 5 Quarts and add 5 quarts. Easier than an oil change. No wonder these vehicles last so long.
