I put a motor in a 96 cav from a 97. Both motors are 2.2L 4 Cyl both cars are Automatic transmissions. I pulled the motor out of the 97 the car was rolled but still driveable and it ran great when I drove it home.

I swapped the motors. Motor cranks over but wont start. I am getting fuel. But I have no spark. I was wondering if it was something to do with the ECM or the ICM. To change the ECM out I have to change engine wiring harness plugs are different. Or is it possible to get the ECM reprogramed to that motor. Any help will be great Thanks.

First thing to do is check for spark and fuel.

Well I ended up replacing the wiring harness and ECM from the car I got the motor from and got spark. Then I had to get the Theft system reset and the car fired up. Thanks for the help.
