got a 1990 s13 single cam and it wont start, before it was make a knockin noise like if thier was something loose but never got to that part, but i want to get it started to be able to hear what is makin that noise, it still crankes but nothin

knocking noise? first thing that jumps to my mind is spun rod bearing.
