ram 1500 srt laramie 1994 breaksfrfpatty 11-21-2008, 02:19 AM Both lights, ABS and Brake, are on. When I am driving, sometimes, I step on break pedal and it goes down almost all the way and I feel a vibration on pedal and something like a metal with metal sound, and actually it is very difficult to stop the truck, I drive slow but I have been scare by this a few times. I checked pads and rotors and everything seems ok. I would appreciate some advise, thanks. angus10 11-21-2008, 04:37 AM Have you checked the rear shoes? How about the brake fluid level? The brake line that goes to the rear, travels over top the gas tank and commonly develops small pin holes that are hard to see. Also the plug to the sensor on top of the rear end housing can become corroded , or the sensor is know good. Also I doubt you have front wheel ABS, but if it's a 4x4 check the front hub bearings. Oh, also check all your fuses and relays, and I have heard of the brake light switch on the pedal going bad and causing the lites to come on, but not the scraping noise of course. HEMIDAZE 11-24-2008, 05:12 PM Brake lghts on the dash will come on if your fluid is low. Metal sound is usually worn out pads. If your pedal goes to the floor it could be low on fliud or bad master cylinder. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
