I have an '89 CRX SI with a DOHC ZC swap. When I started having problems, I would slightly depress the gas pedal and it would "choke up" or "cut out" and sometimes die and then wouldn't start. A few days later it wouldn't start. Turns over, but no fire. I've got fuel at the firewall. Got spark. Bought a new TPS that I'm gonna install in the next day or two.

I looked at my timing marks with #1 @ TDC and they are off. My question is, are they off enough that the car wouldn't even fire at all?

This is the crank pulley. It has two sets of marks. On the left, there are 3 marks. The middle is red. To the right of those is one single mark.
