2001 zx3 puttering

I have a 2001 zx3 with 53,00 miles on it fairly new to me.. I noticed a few weeks ago that while going around the on ramp in 3rd the car would start to studder and it wuldnt pick up i'd have to let off the gas and keep trying.. Its starting to happen more and more now and it always seems to happen in 3rd going around the ramp, more than any other time...Anyone with that problem or no what is causing it??

I have the similar problem with my ZX3 and I changed the fuel filter and the aprk plugs and wires and that seems to fixed it.

There is a TSB for the '01 Focus for the ''FUEL DELIVERY MODULE''. We have an '01 focus and had the same problem. It only happened going around exit ramps. It would experience what is called ''Fuel starvation''. Bring it to a ford service shop and they'll repair it for no charge assuming that's the problem which it more than likely is.....

its funny you say that, i called ford today they told me the same thing. The problem is the same as yours, but they want a 90 fee to see if the symptons exist first. I want to know what there going to do that cost 90 dollars i want to make sure it shows up before i take the chance. Does anyone know how they check for the Fuel delivery module?

problem solved, ford changed the pump free of charge.
