Thanks for the pics. ZoomZoomMX-5 11-19-2008, 08:30 AM Design is a bit fussy (particularly the wheels, GT grille, and hood); the V6 is the cleanest appearance and actually looks a lot like today's GT500. V6 Mustang has 4.0 liter truck engine w/210 HP. V6 Camaro has direct injection 3.6 liter V6 with 300 HP. V8 Mustang has 315 HP and V8 Camaro has over 400. Hmmmm... Hope the new Mustang impresses me more in person. tuned.by.twenty 11-19-2008, 08:48 AM I like it! jano11 11-19-2008, 09:46 AM Design is a bit fussy (particularly the wheels, GT grille, and hood); the V6 is the cleanest appearance and actually looks a lot like today's GT500. Even 210 is to much for moving a car and a few people from A to B. manu80 11-19-2008, 09:59 AM A bit more agressive than the actual one, but still a bit "thick" on some parts and overall shape. I like the camaro and the challenger better ;) Spike2933 11-19-2008, 10:12 AM no wonder Ford is going out of business. they keep producing these types of cars Chuck Kourouklis 11-19-2008, 05:59 PM How do they compare in fuel consumption? Also, why would we need 300 or 400 HP? Even 210 is to much for moving a car and a few people from A to B. My 5.7l V8 gets a reliable 25-27 mpg at 75-80 mph, or 8-9l/100km at 120-130 km/h, if you prefer those measurements (one of the reasons I hang onto it rather than going after a new Mustang is because Ford refuses to acknowledge the necessity of a proper 6-speed transmission in this kind of car, except at the most powerful option levels). That ain't exactly Prius mileage, but it's allowed me to weather gas prices just fine, even at their most expensive point. We can expect the new Camaro direct-injection V6 to at least equal if not better those figures in the heavier new car. There are certain GM engines people can only underestimate at their own peril. People sniff at their specific outputs without realizing that understressing these engines is exactly how GM sets them up for good fuel economy. Now as for what amounts to too much horsepower, I've found all 310 of mine quite useful on several occasions. Those Excursion drivers who cry like mewling little bitches over gas prices on one hand, then try to tailgate you down the highway on the other? Not a problem. :evillol: **edit** - oh, and btw, I think the new design works just fine! The current design had the easygoing nature of being the only one on the block. The new one looks like it knows the Camaro and Challenger are coming, and it's adopting a suitably snarkier attitude. If only Ford would fight the good powertrain fight... 69mach1 04-11-2009, 11:23 AM Beautiful!!!! I saw one at the Norfolk Auto show. I was drooling. Mines69Olds 04-16-2009, 10:00 PM no wonder Ford is going out of business. they keep producing these types of cars That's why they didn't take bailout money right. They did what they had to do, selling Jaguar and Land Rover for a big loss but still getting about 1.7 billion for it. They used that money to get back to basics. freude09 04-20-2009, 10:45 PM definitely gorgeous! would love to see more of these soon... thanks for sharing such gorgeous pics! 99onI95 09-25-2009, 04:16 PM I actually think Ford could care less about what I think about their mustang. All they care about is Dodge and GM not cutting in on their pony car sales. Ford is concerned about the mainstream and how they feel about the new design. Looking at the 2010 model I can tell that Ford has stuck with a traditional recipe and has not made any radical changes to their top selling sports car. A small HP increase has been made in hopes to compete with the GM newcomer and thats about it. Ford has played it safe. In the end, I believe Ford will still squeeze out profitable sales to the die hard mustang enthusiast while many will flock to the Challenger and Camaro simply because it is the "new kid on the block" and not necessarily because it is the best buy. Whether I'm wrong or not only time will tell. On a side note, Car and Driver and a few other automotive magazines love this car and place it above the other pony cars in its class. Shpuker 09-27-2009, 12:21 AM They made it way to rounded off, not enough character to it for me, I like the Challenger more. Id take the 2009 Shelby over the 2010 Shelby :) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
