I have a 1995 Dodge Intrepid. Today it was -7 in the morning. My car would not start, when i turn the key it would give the ignition sound and then a thump and nothing, this went on for about 5 minutes and then started on its own. Is my car going :runaround: !

How old is battery? Make sure baattery is good.

Check battery cables for tightness and that they are clean.

Are you getting 12 volts to starter, if so check starter. Starter may need to be rebuilt or replaced.
