gasline antifreeze in windshield washer fluid?northern piper 11-18-2008, 08:22 AM Has anyone ever done this? I foolishly :loser::loser: added a full jug of "summer" windshield washer fluid and now the temps have dropped and the fluid is pretty thick. I'm thinking a bottle of gasline antifreeze may just get me thru without draining the reservoir and refilling with winter fluid. Thoughts?? Piper 12Ounce 11-18-2008, 09:07 AM Shouldn't hurt ... in fact, any alcohol should be OK ... I've used regular rubbing alcohol to "break things loose". Just smells funny. Airjer_ 11-18-2008, 01:13 PM The blue stuff has a lot of alcohol already in it. In fact it will burn when it comes into contact with an open flame. What type of alcohol I have no idea but until I new for sure I would be leary about adding isopropyl just in case there is a compatibility issue between it and the plastic/rubber lines. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
