poor acceleration, in drive?

Not trying to be an ass, but if we had a little more info like the year and engine size at least, maybe we could help. I assume it idles fine, but has no power when trying to go? You need to check the basics...........

Compression Test
Check engine light on?

I agree... That's not enough to go on. We need details...
