I have a 95 camry 4cyl, automatic. I am trying to find my differential check/fill plug. I have a Haynes manual and it is not where Haynes says it is. I have looked but cannot find it...Any help??????

Picture is in '94 Camry FSM downloadable from the sticky thread at the top of this forum. See page AX1-30.

It is directly above the drain plug on the side near the top of the differential.

Link to FSM is reproduced below:

If the FSM doesn't make it clear, on my 94 the refill plug is on the aft side of the diff facing the firewall. I want to say you can just barely see the edge of the plug/bolt from above. Not sure. Yes it's a PITA to get at. Put the drivers side on jack stands, remove the drivers side tire. Now feel the back side of the diff. It's there, it really is. I use a piece of plastic tubing stuck in the refill hole and pour fluid in from above while someone watches down below. When fluid starts dripping out the hole it's full. First make sure you lower the car till it's level.

FYI - I bought my 94 used in 99 for my daughter. About three months after buying it I checked the diff fluid level and found it nearly dry. My daughter had put 2,500 miles on it at that point (getting a ticket for doing 95 in a 70 in the process) and who knows how long it was almost dry before I bought it. I'm saying this differential is bullet proof.
