Warning to 2009 C-530 Ownersstereophile 11-07-2008, 11:57 PM Dear Members: My wife bought a 2009 Mercedes C-530W4M three weeks ago. Yesterday, when she drove the car to her office waiting in front of the garage door, it suddenly accelerated strongly. As a result of this, the car hit on a wall and the front end was severely damaged. Due to the fact that the garage door was not completely opened, the antenna at the roof of the car was also smashed. I wish to know, is there any member experienced or heard the similar accident due to suddenly acceleration? Looking forward to here from you. stereophile Anaudiophile 11-27-2008, 02:24 AM I am pretty sure you mean C 350 4-Matic correct? I have not heard of this occuring, but do know a couple owners of the new C class. One 300 and one 350. stereophile 11-27-2008, 04:26 PM I am pretty sure you mean C 350 4-Matic correct? I have not heard of this occuring, but do know a couple owners of the new C class. One 300 and one 350. Yes, the 2009 C350 was a 4-Matic which was shipped from West Germany recently. My wife has 30 years driving experience and the C350 was her 2nd Mercedes. She was very sure that was the car's problem because she stops in front of the office building every morning waiting the garage door to open. She won't make a mistake by accelerating the car without the garage door completely open. Besides, that was her own building. She won't be so stupid to damage her own property and repaired afterwards without insurance compensation. davemisto 01-01-2009, 01:46 PM maybe she should get her right foot checked out stereophile 01-02-2009, 02:06 PM Dear Sir: Thank you for your concern. I have looked through the net to try and find some sort of problem that would of caused your wife's car to auto accelerate outside her work place. A few suggestions came back: ie Was it after the Christmas party. Was she braking in a new pair of Jimmy Choos. stereophile 01-26-2009, 04:02 PM Dear richardhead: It was a normal week day in the morning about 9:45 a.m. She wore low heel shoes as usual. However, I appreciate your concern in this regard. Stereophile stereophile (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/member.php?u=592046). Good luck with your wife's car. joe wilson1943 03-21-2009, 07:26 AM Didn't some of the Audi 5000s have that problem a few years back? I think it was something in the computer that caused them to do that. Did you take it back to the dealer? stereophile 03-21-2009, 12:27 PM Didn't some of the Audi 5000s have that problem a few years back? What I posted here was to request if any of our member experienced the same problem on 2009 C530? My wife's C-530 was towed to the dealer and was considered totally damage. Few weeks ago, she leased a new E-300 4MATIC. She scare to get another C-530 again. Best regards, stereophile vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
