Problems with starter removaljcorradov6 11-07-2008, 08:22 PM Hey all, I have a 1992 toyota 4cyl. p/u. I am replacing the starter on it but I cannot seem to gain access to the top bolt that holds the starter to the bell housing. Any ideas? Thanks, :banghead: fourwd1 11-08-2008, 06:33 PM It's a PITA to get to, you just need the right combination of ratchets, extensions, and a swivel adapter. I think I used 1/4" drive stuff cause it fit in better. Remeber to disconnect the battery first, or you may end up doing some unintentional welding  Scrapper 11-08-2008, 06:59 PM i had same problem i was under my truck and my nephew was under hood once i got bolts out with swivel socket 3/8 drive he moved it around on top and had to drop it threw the bottom. you may even have to use a regular swivel also. dangorango85 04-25-2009, 02:37 PM Hey all, I have a 1992 toyota 4cyl. p/u.
