well i had an issue with my rpm needle goin way down then bouncing up and back down pretty rappedly as i began to accel from 0mph and after a few seconds the car gives out but it will turn right back on and works better with no radio no lights on so i took it to auto zone the folowing day they said my altinater is bad so i bought a new altinater and charged my battery last night sure enought next morning i go to accel at the stop sign and bam same thing happen so i turn radio off runs ok and drove back to my house and here i am missing work again if anyone has some clues ideas anything i would truely appreciate it

hi try replacing the coil in the distrubuter as this is what controls the rev counter :licka:

Before pouring money and trying to shoot with closed eyes, I would start with basic.

Check your spark plug wires: how do they look, is there any visible cracks?

How old your spark plugs, distributor cap?
