1995 Sonoma Hesitation

Have a 1995 2.2 4 cyl. that hesitates when I try to accelerate from a standing position. Starts fine and runs fine, except it feels like it pulling back some. The only thing I did to the truck was, I put an o2 extender on the o2 sensor. Its been on the truck for more than two months with out any problems, until now. Any suggestions? Please......................

Engine is a 2.2 4cyl. and the extender is a just an adapter for fowled spark plugs, that I bored out to half of an inch so the o2 sensor would fit.
I was told I would be able to save some gas by doing this, and it seems to work well.
There are no check engine lights or codes.

The 02 sensor needs to be installed into the pipe the right length.
Put the 02 sensor back to OEM setup and see what it does.

How is the tune up and fuel pressure?
Best way to save gas is a mgood tune up.
