Replace rearview mirror

My thermometer on my rearview mirror went out. I didn't realize how much I looked at it until it's gone. I miss it. Any way do I have to replace the mirror?? If so, is it something that a rookie could do? Thanks for you input.

the sensor for temp gauge is behind the front grill just above the bumper...

the display not indicating anything may be fuse/connector etc...

replacing the mirror is very easy will need allen wrenches..

I cant for the life of me find the replacement rearview mirror taht has all the buttons for onstar and the temp gauge. Any help out there?

this is most likely a dealer only part as the onstar would not be shared to aftermarket manufacturers...If you are sure the this componet is defective try scrap yards....
