I went to change the fuel filter and I had a heck of a time getting the lower line removed. In the process I messed up the flare and compression fitting. So I thought I would cut it off buy a new fitting re-flare the line and be good to go. I can not find this fitting. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I believe you have to buy a new line from Toyota.

You might check the junkyards for a used line as well. Just try not to mess this one up too...have one of the yard guys pull it for you.

That lower fitting is a well known bitch.

That lower fitting is a well known bitch.

For next time, a "crow foot" wrench and penetrating oil make it simple.
The crow foot wrench looks like the end of a flare nut wrench but is very short and has a square cut out for use with an extension on a ratchet handle. The thicker cross section elminates flexing.
I use Kroil penetrating oil.
Makes it very easy to loosen that fitting.
