Will 91 Camry' Exhaust Intermediate Pipe fit 95 Camry?job4mi 10-25-2008, 10:02 PM My 95 Camry' (V6) exhaust is leaking because the intermediate pipe's flange where it meets the catalytic convertor' flange, is rusted. I took it couple of repair shops and everyone is quoting me more than what I want to spend. I had been to the junk yard and found an intermediate pipe from a 91 Camry. I was wondering if it would fit my 95 Camry. Any help would be appreciated. If there are alternate ways to fix the issue, pl. suggest as my knowledge about car repair is weak. Basically I am trying to buy two more years on this car. Thanks in advance. Brian R. 10-26-2008, 12:17 AM If I were you, I'd keep looking. Any '94-'96 V6 pipe will fit and they are very common cars. I doubt the '91 will fit. Mike Gerber 10-26-2008, 06:50 PM Have you tried an independent muffler shop? I have found they can be more creative in doing repairs, than a chain muffler shop. I had one years ago that shortened a converter's flange just a bit, by cutting off the pipe where it had separated from the flange, and then rewelding the flange back on. Cost was $30, their minimum charge. The exhaust system was about 1/8 inch shorter, which worked fine. It held up just fine the last 13 years that car was in the family. This was about 20 years ago, so it might have been $50 or $60 in today's money, but my only other alternative back then was to replace the converter at around $300. There were few aftermarket converters available back then. My point is, it might be worth a try to go to an independent muffler shop and see if they can do anything. Good luck. Mike GSS123 10-27-2008, 09:20 AM I'm in total agreement with Brian and Mike on this one. Had similar problem and went to an independent muffler shop. Cost was $100 two years ago vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
