Thank you for your kind help. I will go to the dealer on Monday and see if they can install it. Thanks! :) Chris100 11-28-2008, 07:10 PM Hi, I got the alternator regulator screw on, and have similar problems. I had my charging system checked at Autozone, and the alternator is charging 14.5. Now i notice when i apply my brakes, the headlights dim, a little. Also got the same dim or flicker like before on park and in drive. Anybody know what could be the problem? Thanks. Old Passat 12-01-2008, 01:00 AM Had same issue and eliminated most of the flicker with a new battery. Went to four or so different auto parts stores test. Half said alternator and half said battery. Went back to Sams and they told me those batteries had a history of problems. Been over a year and no bothersome flickering. Still there, but barely noticeable. Running your interior lights higher seems to reduce flicker. Chris100 12-02-2008, 01:55 AM Had same issue and eliminated most of the flicker with a new battery. Thanks for your help. '97ventureowner 12-02-2008, 02:53 AM Hi, which batteries had a problem? Thanks for your help. Since he's talking about Sam's, my first inclination was to think about the Everstart battery that Wal Mart, parent company to Sam's Club carries. I've had horrible luck with the Everstart brand,( I call them "Neverstarts  ) Most have lasted just over a year before going bad and needing to be replaced. But my local Sam's Clubs don't carry the Everstart brand, but another, unless they are the same battery made by the same manufacturer, just different outside labels. Still, though, I haven't really heard of any issues with batteries from Sam's club like I have those from Wal Mart.
