My 2000 Sunfire Gt has a miss HELP!!

My Car is a 2.4L twin cam 5 speed and it has a miss in cylinder # 4 and it seems to some and go and thats the strange part because ive changed the coil pack and ive rotated the spark plugs so a non missing cylinder plug is in the missing cylinder and i just replaced the fuel pump and if it was the crank sensor it would not be contained to just cylinder 4 and if it was a vacume leak i dont belive it would be coming and going so if any 1 has herd of this or has any ideas im open for suggestions

Did you try switching wires too? (if they're long enough...)

If it's one misfire all the time, the problem is the distributor rotor-to-#4 cap connector, or the #4 wire, or the #4 spark plug, or the #4 spark plug not grounding well in the cylinder head.

Check also for arcing along #4 wire, at night, look for sparking where the weak wire is shorting out somewhere along it's length.
