Hi, i may be getting a 96 jetta gls soon, it has the 2.0 in it. the auto trans does not work at all! He drove the car down the road and the wheel fell off, but the wheel back on and went to drive it and it would go and wouldnt so he said, so in my belief he fried the trans as it was low on fluid after the tire coming off? It wont do anything in any gear and we tried to put fluid in it but no dice. So what i was wondering is what other make model year or anything along those lines would fit this car. or how hard would it be to convert it to standard. In example interior, cables, ecm, wiring ect. I know how to work on vehicles and change engines and trans ect ive been doing them for some time now but havnt yet converted a auto to a manual. I have a nearby junkyard with vw's and about any other car you can think of with awsome prices(you pull it yard) I know theres some manual transmission down there and the one auto that was there is now gone. Any help would be appretiated. thanks alot, Brian
