My gf got that one. I shit my pants again when I saw it in the trailer. Here's a sweet pic a spectator got as well.

I barely missed the guy, but all was well and it was back to racing an hour later.

Wow! How close were you? Angles can be deceptive sometimes. Hit anything?

Thanks guys. :) It was as close as it looked. I thought I had to have clipped the guy and checked the car when I got back to the pits, but it was fine. I was going over 100 when he crossed the center line. He took the worst of it in that exchange, but the car was on a record pace. I really wish I could have finished that run. :)

Damn. Good thing you left the line later too. That could've been a lot worse. How was the other dudes car? Look like he tapped the wall just a little but hard to tell. And what happened to him?

The funny part is I let the guy go first. The car directly in front of him (rx7 IIRC) lost a rear tire and did a 180 on the starting line. The other driver was fine, but the car took a decent beating. I'm sure it's fine structurally though.

Here's another nice shot that shows the swerve action :D

Looking at that again...man you really are lucky. Had you launched when he did, you would be telling a different story or not telling what at all. Glad your ok man.
