Spin my wheels, please!

Hello,
I'm here with one of my more-dumb questions; I had my older Camry jacked up, when I noticed the tires (front) didn't turn...or at least not much, then they'd stop. It would rotate back and forth about 3 inches. When I previously did break-jobs on other cars, I'm pretty sure the tires turned. Can someone please tell me, why aren't my tires spinning when the vehicle's jacked up? :banghead:

Because your car is in "Park". Take it out of "Park" and they'll spin freely.
