Alternator Problem

I replaced the alternator yesterday and this morning I jumped my Jeep (didn't get to full charge on battery after install) and started right away, but idled just under 2K and the volt meter in dash was just above 14 then dropped to 0 and pressed the gas peddel and volts went back up then dropped again. I couldn't get it to idle back down also. Thanks for any help!

Check all connections, let the battery fully charge, then give the PCM a little time to reset/re-learn and go from there.
