I was wondering if anyone knew what a code 12 was for my 89 Dodge Spirit 2.5L or if there is a website I can reference all the codes from? Any help would be appreciated.

Code 12 means that you disconnected the battery within the last 50 key starts. This code will clear itself eventually.

Most service manuals contain a list of fault codes and what they mean.
