I need to replace the ECU in my 92 Golf and I am not 100% sure where it is at. Most of my research tells me that it is under the cowl, and I hear that they are a bear to get to. So if anyone could let me know for sure that would be great, I just don't want to do all the work to get the cowl and everything off just to find out that its not there. Thanks alot!

it is located under the windshield cowl, you need to remove the wiper arms and the cowel pannels. :runaround:
