2000 Venture wheel bearing? ?

On our 200 venture the right front wheel started getting a vibration and noise, it acts like the axle shaft is out of balance, there is also a little clunk noise at reals slow speeds like in a parking lot.. the Wheel bearing has a little play in it, (Jacked up you can take the tire from the top and bottom and move it a little)

The axle makes no clicking noise like the CV joint is bad..

Anyone else experience this or have any suggestions

does the noise get worser as you speed up?

Are you sure the tire is not seperated?

What speed do you start hearing the noise and feeling the vibration/

If the bearing has any play at all its bad. Its a bearing. There is no such thing as play in a bearing! At least not that you can feel. When the bearings fail, they do so gradually. You notice a rumble coming from one side or the other. At first, turning one way or the other will stop the sound during the turn. Putting the car in neutral while rolling along at 30 mph or so will not affect the sound at all unless its a CV joint failing.
As it gets worse, it will feel as though you are driving over rumble strips on the road.
Bad bearings are common around 130k miles or so. If yours are original, plan to change 'em both out.

may also be a ball joint, if the bearing was that bad you probably would have heard it humming some time ago.

Why would a ball joint cause vibration? Wouldnt you see wear on the tire if the ball joint was that bad?
