This is my latest (not one I see built often), built mostly out of the box, with a few extras (and it has it's share of inaccuracies) :eek7: . I added a PE wikerbill to the back edge of the car, replaced the rivets on the body with plastic injected molded rivets and added seatbelts from Protech.

Paint is Tamiya TS-49 Bright Red and TS-14 Black, cleared with Tamiya TS-13Clear and then polished. The kit wheels are molded in white plastic so I sprayed them black then sprayed SpazStix Ultra Mirror Chrome (from a rattle can) over the black to get the polished aluminum rim look. Kit decals, etc... The decals and the TS-49 are a close match but not perfect. If I had it to do over I would mask and paint the red/black stripes on the body.

Thanks for looking...

Lovely build

A simple livery and all the more striking for it IMO

"wikerbill "?!?! LOL Thanks for the new word! I need to Google that one ;)

Also the SpazStix (don't like that name much :( ) chrome looks very impressive! How does it compare to Alclad in your opinion?

Nice and clean build. I like it!
For coming out of a rattle can that chrome finish is impressive.

Thanks everyone...

Wickerbill... aka... Gurney Flap.

I would say based on what I've seen Alclad II is more "chrome like" than this paint, however, if this paint were sprayed through an airbrush where it could be controlled better my result may have been more chrome looking.

Sprayed out of a spray can the paint went on somewhat heavy, as expected, and it buffed out like you would a Testors Metalizer. I'm sure that's not the intent but it worked out that way for me.

Here's the paint I used (they do make it in small bottles for airbrush use). It's convenient because it's in a rattle can.

Terrific work on the whole thing but that Advanlivery is a winner to me! :sunglasse

Great looking car.
I really like the paintjob. Looks smooth as a mirror.

And as others already mentioned, it's a great livery. It's always nice to see a different and rare livery.

The Hasegawa Group C series were excellent, fun-to-build kits and you've done this one perfectly. I think I still have this, or the Kenwood version, lurking somewhere too.

Gorgeous. Fantastic finishing work. I agree about spraying the stripes seeing as the sprayed red looks so good, but no probs, it's still excellent.

I like that car and I like the model every bit as much as the car!
