I was driving my 2001 montana 3.4l and it stalled.
Started it right back up and a slow idle it stalled again.
Started it right back up again this time on the highway I had no passing gear push the pedal right to the floor and nothing happed the rpms never went up. today stalled 2 x and had passing gear but very very sluggish.
Its not giving any codes.
Im thinking fuel filter anyone have any other thoughts?
Thanks

sounds like the fuel filter is almost completeiy stopped up or the fuelpump is on its last go around.the fuel filter is under the driverside sliding door you will need a set of the gm quick connect release tools or you can use a small flat screwdriver to push the clips [one on each side of the connector] back.i would take the front connector loose if gas pours out of the front of the filter then the fuel filter is not clogged.the fuelpump sounds like it is running but is back pressuring and is not holding a constant pressure of around 50 pounds to keep the motor running.

P0172 is a "System Too Rich Bank 1". Since there really is only one bank to the ECM, it could be either side of the engine or both sides. I would first check fuel pressure and bleed off. You may also want to see if the vacuum line leading to the fuel pressure regulator is wet with gas.

Eveything lead to the mafs so I checked it yesterday and it was on backwards I took it apart and cleaned it.
I call for a price on one 474 dollars (crazy) just curious what they were worth.
