WIP: Kawasaki ZZR1400Zubski 09-27-2008, 05:27 PM Hello, Tamiya 1/12 Kawasaki ZZR1400. I started this kit about 3 weeks ago. Very fun build. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/kawasaki-zzr1400.jpg The chain is complete. This was the best picture i could get of it though:banghead: http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P9210076a.jpg The frame is complete, i let it sit for about a week and worked on the engine. The engine is about 90% complete and installed into the frame. The Swing arm is also around 90% complete. It is not installed to the frame yet though, just on for the pictures. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P9140081a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P9140078a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P9200076a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P9270080a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P9270081a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P9270082a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P9270084a.jpg Thanks for viewing. Hope to hear from you. Zubski ALEX GAROLI 09-28-2008, 09:14 PM Looking really good, I like rear brake disc. ketje 09-30-2008, 12:06 AM Nice start, but it looks that you missed some seams. Zubski 10-01-2008, 03:12 PM Thanks guys. I started the spring. Painted the silver parts. Im not happy with how it came out though. I don't know maybe just needs another coat. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PA010075a.jpg Seat Frame is assembled. Needs a final sanding then into primer it goes. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PA010076a.jpg Also started work on the Front Fender. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PA010077a.jpg Next update everything should start to come together. Stay tuned :) Zubski joelwideqvist 10-02-2008, 06:30 AM Interesting to see the parts of this kit. Always fun to see how Tamiya has gone about recreating a new bike. Are you airbrushing the parts? Looks as the silver parts are a bit dull, perhaps too far from the object when spraying? Keep it up! /joel Zubski 10-03-2008, 05:43 PM It took me a month and i like it :) http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PA030075a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PA030079a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PA030080a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PA030082a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PA030081a.jpg Thanks for viewing Zubski Zubski 10-08-2008, 04:14 PM Hello Started work on the exaust pipes. Stripped the chrome paint, glued and puttied. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PA080076a.jpg Also started work on the Body http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PA080077a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PA080078a.jpg Thinks have been going slow as the Rc season is starting this weekend. So i have been busy getting my cars ready. Should have some paint on in a couple of days :) Zubski ZoomZoomMX-5 10-08-2008, 04:51 PM Nice start, but it looks that you missed some seams. Would be a waste of time filling those seams on the frame as they're totally invisible when the model is put together. Zubski 10-15-2008, 08:18 PM Update: I have finished the engine. It needs little clean up but thats it. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PA150075a.jpg Body work finally complete. I was origanally going to paint it black, but im getting sick of seeing all this black so i decided i will paint it Mica Blue. I just need to ask my mom for $30 pick up a can of white primer and a can of air propellent and then i can paint it. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PA150078a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PA150077a.jpg The exaustpipes still need alot of work before i could put paint on it. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PA150079a.jpg If you follow my WIP's you know i can't build a model without something going wrong.:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: I thought this would be the one without problem but i was wrong. I lost the little piece that goes on the exaust pipe. I don't know how that could of happened but it did.:headshake I will try to scratch build it but my skills are so good. Hopefully i find it by then. And the red decals on the back of the bike, that was a stupid mistake:loser: http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PA150080a.jpg And finally, a picture of the body and exaust test fitted. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PA150081a.jpg Zubski 10-27-2008, 04:52 PM Well i tried making one myself. It doesn't looks great as i said before im not that good at scratch building, but i think it looks beter then nothing. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PA270076a.jpg Zubski ALEX GAROLI 10-27-2008, 05:27 PM Looks ok, maybe a little cleaning ang sanding. Zubski 11-16-2008, 03:15 PM Hello More work on the bike. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PB160075a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PB160077a.jpg Had a little trouble with the airbrush not sure what happend. Ill sand the blue a little and give it more coats. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PB160076a.jpg Its fine here, painted this about a week ago http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PB160079a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PB160078a.jpg I hope you like it and hope to here from you. Zubski joelwideqvist 11-17-2008, 05:27 AM Looking good so far. I'd recommend you to prime that tank/seat cowl again, cause new blue paint won't cover those spit marks of paint from the airbrush. /Joel Zubski 11-18-2008, 09:05 PM Thanks for the tip. Little progress. Clear coated and put on. Its much shinier in person but i can't can't it in the pictures. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PB180075a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PB180076a.jpg Wiring is starting to come together. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PB180077a.jpg Zubski Zubski 11-28-2008, 05:37 PM Update: Nearly complete now. All that is left is the body parts. Hope to have it finished in about a week or so. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PB280075a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PB280076a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PB280077a.jpg The paint job isn't great. Had some splatters. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PB280078a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PB280079a.jpg What i have left. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/PB280081a.jpg Thanks for viewing Zubski Zubski 12-06-2008, 08:05 PM Complete!
